
ABSTRACTS
Abstracts in all fields of the aquatic sciences (freshwater, estuarine and marine) are invited and can be submitted for consideration either as oral or poster presentations.

Please note that there is no guarantee that your preferred format will be awarded.
Sessions:
We are pleased to announce a call for themed sessions (such as Marine systems, eDNA, Wetland ecology, Lentic and lotic ecosystems, Conservation, and related fields).
If you are interested in organising a session, please email your expression of interest to wynand.malherbe@nwu.ac.za. We look forward to your proposals.

Abstract Submission Information:

The deadline for abstract submission by 30 April 2026.

Please note that abstract acceptance will follow a rolling process from 23 March until middle May. We therefore encourage early abstract submission to ensure timely review and early acceptance.

The maximum number of words in the abstract is 300.

Please ensure that the email addresses that you submitted are correct as these addresses will be used in all correspondence and acceptance notifications.

Late submissions will not be considered.
