Fieldtrip:
The Institute of Natural Resources (INR) is hosting a field trip on the 3rd of July to one of their field sites at R1000. This includes transport, food and scenic trip into the uMkhomazi Upper Catchment to talk around some of the intervention and problems associated with water security and sediment management. The field trip is to a grassland rehabilitation site that is applying intervention to reduce the mobilisation of silt that would otherwise reduce the life span of the proposed dams for the uMkhomazi River. The field trip will take you through the landscape and local communities that will be impacted by these developments. Please select this option in your registration submission if you are interested in the trip.
